These 40’ steel boxcars made their first appearance when the Pullman-Standard plant in Michigan City built 150 40-ft. single door box cars in 1941 followed by an additional 300 cars of the same design in 1942. The cars were numbered 9000 through 9149 and 9150 through 9449. Faithfully reproduced including lettering variations between the two series.
